Here for you, whenever you need it.

The Care to Connect space at An Drochaid is open for you to drop in whenever it suits you. Most of our sessions don’t require booking — just come along. This project is all about making support easy to access, whenever you need it.

An aerial view of a house surrounded by dense green trees, with a small creek visible at the bottom of the image.
A wooden table set with two cups of coffee, a cupcake on a plate, and a notebook with a pen. In the background, a three-tiered wooden cupcake stand displays various cupcakes and cookies, with a large window showing green trees outside.
A cozy living room with a black leather couch on the left, decorated with an orange pillow and a yellow blanket. There is a light wood coffee table in the center with teacups, a teapot, and small snacks. On the right, a yellow armchair with a floral pillow. A window with a view of trees is behind, and an orange banner promoting a support project for unpaid carers is in the background.
  • Whether you need a space to meet a friend, a quiet spot to read a book, or simply just a space to get some peace and get out of the house, you are welcome to drop in anytime. The chillout room has couches, a table and chairs, a telly, a bookcase and more.

  • Pop in and make a coffee, bake some cookies, or simply sit around the table with us, or with a friend.

Our space includes a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of room to relax, chat, and connect. We will be hosting cookery workshops here in the future, but you’re welcome to use the kitchen facilities anytime you drop by.

  • Whether you’d like a quiet chat with our project coordinator or want to make a contingency plan, we have a private space available for one-to-one conversations.

You can also book this space if you need a peaceful environment away from home. Perfect for college work, life admin, or taking therapy or medical calls in comfort and privacy.

  • We have a lovely outside space by the river for you to sit and enjoy, do some gardening, or catch up with a friend. This peaceful garden is the perfect place to come if you need a bit of mental space to reconnect with nature and be outside.
